NOTE: Please see the step by step troubleshooting procedures for this specific code. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. If 677-2 inactive, clear the code, start the engine, and if it doesn’t come back release the vehicle.2. Wiring on the MCM 21-pin connector between pin 20 and ground. Should have 11.5 or more volts.3. Wiring on the CPC connector #1 between pin 18 and ground. If less than 11.5 Volts, repair wiring.

NOTE: This fault code indicates the starter teeth have not engaged correctly into the flywheel (jammed). NOTE: Attempt to start the engine. If the engine starts correctly, attempt to start the engine three times. If the fault does not re-occur, clear code and release vehicle. The starter may not engage the flywheel. POSSIBLE CAUSES:1. Starter motor alignment.2. Starter drive damage.3. Incorrect starter installed.4. Flywheel damage. NOTE: This fault indicates the starter teeth have not engaged correctly to the flywheel (jammed).
