DESCRIPTION:Injector cylinder #5 needle control valve shorted circuit. MONITORED PARAMETER:Injector cylinder #5 needle control valve. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Engine rpm = idle or higher. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:Two seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:Engine idle: One minute. NOTE: If code 168-xx or 723-xx present, fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Front fuel injector harness connection (14-pins).2. Injector harness.3. Failed injector.4. Engine side harness failure.5. MCM (Engine ECM) failure.
