Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 70 FMI 2 (CPC) Park Brake Switch Signal from Source #1, #2, or #3 Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
NOTE: Please see the step by step troubleshooting procedures for this specific code. NOTE: If codes for other modules are present, fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Improper programming of the CPC (Common Powertrain Controller).2. Other failed modules on the truck (Transmission, ABS, Cab controller, etc…).3. Battery/battery cable issues, or electrical issue on truck.
Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 701 FMI 4 (MCM, CPC) Digital Output 4 09 – Indicated by a Short to Ground on Pin 9 Circuit of the Common Powertrain Controller #4 Connector
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
NOTE: The CPC digital outputs have the same SPN as some motor control module (MCM) faults. The diagnostic service tool 7X makes the distinction between the MCM and CPC when diagnosing a fault. NOTE: If engine is programmed correctly, failure is a short to ground on pin 9 of the CPC4 connector.
Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 702 FMI 3 (CPC) Top 2 Shift Solenoid – Indicates a Short to Power on Pin 08 Circuit of the CPC #3 Connector.

Detroit DD13 EPA10 (2010-13) Fault Code: SPN 704 FMI 3 (CPC) High Exhaust System Temperature Lamp
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
NOTE: Indicates a short to power/open circuit on pin 7 of the CPC #4 connector. NOTE: The common powertrain controller (CPC) digital outputs have the same SPN as some motor control module (MCM) faults. PROBABLE CAUSES:Wiring problem between pin 1 and/or 3 of the turbocharger actuator connector and pin 35 of the 120-pin ECM connection.
