DESCRIPTION:Loss of communication occurred on the CPC DPF switch source address. MONITORED PARAMETER:CM1 DPF source add SAE J1939. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Key on2. Engine off EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. ENGINE REACTION:None VERIFICATION:Cycle the key to power down, then cycle the key back on. NOTE: If codes 168-0, 168-14, or 168-18 active fix those first. NOTE: If code 625-9 active, fix that first as well. NOTE: If ECM has been programmed recentely, check programming to ensure it is correct. NOTE: This code is coming from another computer on the vehicle (ABS, Transmission, etc…).

NOTE: The fault indicates that the High Idle Regeneration (HIR) was aborted due to the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) inlet temperature not reaching the minimum of 270°C (518°F) to initiate dosing during an HIR. The CEL and MIL lamps will remain ON until the fault is resolved or a successful regeneration is completed. NOTE: Please see the step by step troubleshooting procedures for this specific code. NOTE: The fault indicates that the high idle regeneration (HIR) was aborted due to the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) outlet temperature not reaching the expected target temperature to complete a HIR. If there are any other regeneration or fuel system related faults address those first. The CEL and MIL lamp will remain on until a fault is resolved or a successful regeneration is completed. NOTE: The fault indicates that the high idle regeneration (HIR) was aborted due to the coolant temperature not reaching the minimum 60°C (140°F) to initiate a high idle regeneration. The amber warning lamp (AWL) comes on for approximately 15 seconds during the regeneration then goes out and the regeneration aborts. If engine fails to reach 60°C (140°F). NOTE: Engine can not regen because coolant does not get up to at leat 140 degrees. You need to find the reason coolant won’t get up to temperature.

NOTE: Do not interrupt regeneration once it has been initiated. When this code is detected, the operator has two minutes to execute the entry conditions:1. Cycle clutch switch (Manual transmission).2. Cycle parking brake.3. Cycle neutral switch (Automatic transmission).4. Then initiate regen request.
