Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 1716 FMI 9 (CPC) ERC1 Message is Missing

NOTE: The common powertrain controller (CPC) digital outputs have the same SPN as some motor control module (MCM) faults. The diagnostic service tool standard makes the distinction between the MCM and CPC diagnosing a fault. NOTE: If any battery voltage codes present, first those first. If code 625-9 active, fix that before proceeding as well. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. CPC recently programmed incorrectly.2. Another computer on the truck is the cause of the problems (ABS, Transmission, etc…).
Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 174 FMI 0 (MCM) Supply Fuel Temperature Sensor Too High
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
POSSIBLE CAUSES:1. Fuel aeration.2. Fuel tank level.3. Improper fuel pressure.4. Fuel line restrictions. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Fuel aeration.2. Fuel tank level.3. Improper fuel pressure.4. Fuel line restrictions.
Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 174 FMI 2 (MCM) Fuel Temperature Sensor, General Temperature Plausibility
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
NOTE: During cold ambient temperatures this fault can be induced if vehicle is equipped with auxiliary oil or coolant heaters. If unit is equipped with an auxiliary heater, clear fault code and release. This is a MIL – only fault. NOTE: If any cooling system codes present, fix this first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Fuel temperature sensor.2. Fuel temperature sensor connector/harness.
