Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3361 FMI 5 (ACM) Diesel Exhaust Fluid System Circuit Failed Open
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when the aftertreatment control module (ACM) detects an open on the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) doser valve circuit. MONITORED PARAMETER:DEF dosing unit voltage. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:DEF dosing enabled then disabled. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:50 seconds (max). DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:Key off five minutes after repair. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. DEF doser valve harness connector.2. DEF metering unit failure.3. Wiring between DEF doser valve harness and the ECM.
Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3363 FMI 0 (ACM) Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank Temperature – High
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank temperature – high. MONITORED PARAMETER:DEF tank temperature. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Coolant valve closed greater than 1.5 hrs.2. Coolant temperature greater than 158°F. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:Five seconds DASH LAMPS:MIL VERIFICATION:Parked regeneration NOTE: If codes 3363-3, 3363-4, or 3363-5 active, fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Coolant line from engine to DEF pump.2. DEF tank header assy.3. DEF tank header assy harness/connector.
Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3363 FMI 1 (ACM) Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank Temperature – Low
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
NOTE: This code sets when the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank temperature does not increase 0.5°C (0.9°F) within 300 seconds after the DEF tank coolant valve has bn commanded on. DESCRIPTION:DEF tank temperature – low. MONITORED PARAMETER:DEF tank temperature. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Coolant valve commanded open.2. Coolant temperature greater than 70°C (158°F).3. Ambient temperature less than -1°C (30°F) as measured by the ACM. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:30 minutes DASH LAMPS:MIL VERIFICATION:Parked regeneration NOTE: If any cooling system codes present, fix this first. NOTE: If codes 3363-3, 3363-4, or 3363-5 active, fix those first. PROBABLE...
