NOTE: This fault code indicates a missing message from the antilock brake system (ABS) module. NOTE: If there are any battery related faults, repair those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Vehicle speed sensor.2. Wiring between vehicle speed sensor and ECM.3. Engine ECM has recently been reprogrammed improperly.

NOTE: Please see the step by step troubleshooting procedures for this specific code. NOTE: If codes for other modules are present, fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Improper programming of the CPC (Common Powertrain Controller).2. Other failed modules on the truck (Transmission, ABS, Cab controller, etc…).3. Battery/battery cable issues, or electical issue on truck.

NOTE: Front axle speed signal is missing. NOTE: If codes 168-0, 168-14, or 168-18 active fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSE:1. CPC has improper programming.2. There is another computer on the vehicle (ABS, Transmission, Cab, etc…) that is causing the problems.
