DESCRIPTION:This code sets once the motor control module (MCM) detects that the outlet coolant temperature is above 112°C (234°F). MONITORED PARAMETER:Engine coolant outlet temperature sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always enabled MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Always enabled TYPICAL DURATION:Two seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL VERIFICATION:Outlet coolant temperature above 112°C (234°F) followed by one minute of idling. NOTE: If codes 110-3 or 110-4 also active, fix those first. NOTE: With a code engine, coolant inlet and coolant outlet temperature should be within 25 degree’s of each other. If not, replace both sensors. Otherwise, most PROBABLE failures are:1.
