DESCRIPTION:This code sets when the camshaft position (CMP) sensor signal has timed out for an extended period of time. MONITORED PARAMETER:Camshaft position sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Engine idle MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:10 Seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL3. SEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:Engine Idle: One minute. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Camshaft position sensor connector/harness.2. Camshaft position sensor.3. Improper timing or installation of the gear train, camshaft, or flywheel.

PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Drain the fuel filter module by removing the fuel filters or opening the drain valve. Hand tighten the drain plug and prime the fuel filter with the hand pump. If code doesn’t come back, problem solved.2. Reset the water in fuel indicator.3. Failed water in fuel sensor.4. Water in fuel sensor connector/harness.
