Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 4360 FMI 8 (ACM) SCR Inlet Temperature Signal Spike
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) detects a momentary abnormal Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) inlet temperature reading. MONITORED PARAMETER:Selective Catalyst Reduction Inlet temperature sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Non-regen mode MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:Two seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:None VERIFICATION:SCR efficiency test. NOTE: This fault indicates that the ACM has detected a sudden temperature switch on the SCR outlet temperature sensor. Most likely cause is wiring failure. NOTE: If codes 4360-3 or 4360-4 are active, fix those first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Check all SCR sensor wiring for looseness, breaks, rubs, etc…2....
Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 4363 FMI 0 (ACM) SCR Outlet Temperature High
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) outlet temperature high. MONITORED PARAMETER:SCR outlet temperature. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Non regen mode. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:1. Derate 25%.2. 30 seconds shut down. VERIFICATION:SCR efficiency test. NOTE: If code 3246-15 active, fix that first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Inspect all connectors and wiring upstream of the ACM (SCR inlet temp, ATD harness 10-pin connector, VIH 47-pin connector, and ECM 120-pin connector).2. SCR outlet temperature sensor.3. SCR outlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 4363 FMI 20 (ACM) SCR Temperature Drift – Inlet Low/Outlet High
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) detects that the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) outlet temperature sensor reading and SCR outlet model temperature is greater than 70°C (158°F). MONITORED PARAMETER:SCR outlet temperature. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:1. Exhaust flow greater than 600 Kg/hr.2. Coolant temperature greater than 60°C (140°F).3. Non-regen mode. MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Continuous when enabling conditions met. TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:MIL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25% VERIFICATION:SCR efficiency test. NOTE: Monitor the DOC outlet, DPF outlet, SCR inlet, and SCR outlet temps. If they are no close together, the one that is off is the failure sensor. PROBABLE...
Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 4363 FMI 3 (ACM) Selective Catalyst Reduction Outlet Temperature Sensor Circuit Failed High
Posted by PerDiezel Solutions on
DESCRIPTION:This fault code sets when there is an open in the SCR outlet temperature circuit or a short to power on the SCR outlet temperature sensor signal circuit. MONITORED PARAMETER:SCR onlet temperature sensor. TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:Always enabled MONITOR SEQUENCE:None EXECUTION FREQUENCY:Always enabled TYPICAL DURATION:2 seconds DASH LAMPS:1. MIL2. CEL ENGINE REACTION:Derate 25%. VERIFICATION:Engine idle (one minute). NOTE: If code 3246-15 active, fix that first. PROBABLE CAUSES:1. Inspect all connectors and wiring upstream of the ACM (SCR inlet temp, ATD harness 10-pin connector, VIH 47-pin connector, and ECM 120-pin connector).2. SCR outlet temperature sensor.3. SCR outlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
