Overview:The Fuller Advantage transmission uses the X-Y Shifter to select the proper rail and engage or disengage a gear based on the driver’s selected mode of operation. The position of the X-Y Shift Finger is controlled and monitored by the Transmission Electronic Control Unit (TECU) by way of the X-Y Gear Position and Rail Position Sensors. Fault Code 99 is set when the TECU commands the X-Y Shifter to move to a specific position and the reported Shift Finger position achieved does not match the desired position.
