Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) flow target error diagnostic – high flow.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
EGR Mass Flow

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
1. Desired EGR mass flow greater than .08.
2. EGR in closed loop control.
3. Charge air cooler (CAC) outlet temperature greater than 0°C (32°F).
4. Engine speed 1080-2500 rpm.
5. Engine torque 200 to 2500 N·m (148 to 1844 abaft).
6. Coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
7. Ambient temperature greater than -8°C (18°F) ambient.
8. Barometric pressure greater than 755 mbar.

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:
1. Start engine.
2. Warm up such that coolant temperature greater than 65°C (149°F).
3. Ensure ambient temperature greater than -8°C (18°F).
4. Ambient Barometric pressure greater than 755 mbar (11 psi).
5. Desired EGR mass flow greater than .08 EGR in closed loop control.
6. CAC outlet temperature greater than 0°C (32°F).
7. Engine speed 1080 to 2500 rpm.
8. Engine torque 200 to 2500 N·m (148 to 1894 lb·ft).

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. EGR delta P sensor.
2. EGR delta P harness/connector.
3. EGR delta P sensor port.
4. EGR valve.
