Cummins ISB CM850 (2003-06) Fault Code: 2387 PID: SID 146 SPN: 2975 FMI: 7 Turbocharger actuator motor – the mechanical system is not responding properly or is out of adjustment. Turbocharger actuator is not responding or is slow to respond.

Possible causes:

1)Malfunctioned turbocharger position sensor, and mechanical or electrical malfuction.
2)Turbocharger actuator motor assembly malfunction, requiring a high current to operate the turbocharger, such as a stuck or sticking turbocharger.

Inspect the turbocharger vanes for residue, and clean the vanes, if required. Find the source of the residue and repair.

Possible repairs:

1)Repair or replace the engine harness.
2)Replace the ECM.
3)Repair or replace the turbocharger.
